Consequent upon the uprising of attacks of innocent citizens in some parts of Lagos by hoodlums, the Lagos State Neighbourhood Safety Corps, LNSC, has begun interractive visits to top hierarchy of the police on security intelligence.

This is in order to improve security awareness and enforcement of the Federal and State Government’s directive on the lock down extension in the state.

The move is to discuss matters of security intelligence that will aid the activities of security operatives in strenghtening security alertness and also further strengthen the synergy between the Corps and the Police.

According to a release by the Lagos State Neighbourhood Safety Agency, the move was in compliance with the board’s chairman, DIG Isreal Ajao’s directives and discussion with Commissioner of Police, Lagos State Command, Hakeem Odumosu.

As a result, the Corps Officer and Officers in Charge of Ojokoro, Ojodu Orile Agege Local Council Development Areas, LCDAs, Ifako-Ijaye and Agege Local Government Council visited the Area Commander of Area “G” Ogba, ACP Ibrahim Zungura on Tuesday, 14th April 2020.

The statement stated the meeting Ihad in attendance all the Corps Officers from Ikeja Division with Heads of Intelligence, where issues bordering on safety of lives and property were discussed to reassure residents of Agege and environs of peace, law and order during the Covid-19 lockdown in.Lagos State

Speaking at the meeting, the Area Commander, ACP Ibrahim Zungura lauded the efforts of the LNSC operatives for standing firm and exhibiting high professional standards in the discharge of their legitimate duties during this difficult period and standing firm with the Police to ensure that security of lives and properties are fully achieved.

He further assured that the Area “G” Command will continue to support and improve the good synergy between the LNSC and the NPF to fully achieve all security objectives of the state.
